Finding your way in a world gone wild
Your kids will go on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!

Common Questions & Need to Know Info
Our VBS runs Sunday through Thursday on July 20 – 24 from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Our VBS is free for every family!
Please park at the North end of our lot and use the NE entrance. The entrance will be labeled “NextGen” and there will be other signage to guide you. This is the entrance you should come in to register/check in your kids.
Absolutely!! We love meeting new friends! it is helpful to have these kiddos pre-registered for VBS so we know how many kids to prepare for. Plus it makes check in MUCH faster for you 🙂
You are welcome to stay, but we work hard to provide a safe, well protected environment so you can feel confident leaving them with us. Parents often attend our opening and closing activities in the Worship Center at the south end of our building. Opening is from 6:15 – 6:30 p.m. and our Closing runs 8:15 – 8:30 p.m.
We provide all the materials and supplies for VBS so kids do not need to bring anything special with them.
However, we do offer a Mission Focus for the week and encourage each child to participate as they are able towards our collective goal.
This year’s mission project is providing tennis shoes for kids in need at Four Mile Elementary School right here in Pleasant Hill. NewLife’s vision is to bring the fingerprint of Jesus to our community and this is just one way for our kids to help other kids and to be a part of this vision! More details on specific need and sizes will be given the week of VBS.
Please have your kids wear play clothes. We are into hands on learning here at NewLife and kids may get dirty, probably a little sweaty or spill during activities. We want them to be able to have fun!
Your child will be part of a group with a 1:5 teacher to student ratio. ALL adults are required to have a clear criminal background check before being permitted to work with children. We will also have members of our Security Team present throughout each evening of VBS to help assure the safety of the children.
Children with special medical needs or allergies are cared for by one of our nurses who will be present each evening. Parents will be asked to visit with the nurse, advising them of the best way to care for their child. A special sticker will be attached to the child’s name tag as well as a special wristband so that all VBS volunteers will be aware that your child has a medical need, however, for privacy, details of the child’s needs will only be included in the nightly roster for the Crew Leader.
Snacks and plenty of water are provided for our busy little friends each evening.
