START A D-GROUP

Discipleship Groups are where faith gets personal - creating space for deep friendships, real accountability, and a life rooted in God's Word.

What is a d-group?

A Discipleship Group, or D-Group, is a gender-specific, closed group of 2 - 4 believers who meet regularly for intentional spiritual growth. D-Groups are built through trusted relationship and designed to help people follow Jesus more closely through Scripture, prayer, accountability, and obedience.

Highlights:

 • 2 - 4 believers
 • Gender-specific
 • Closed group
 • Weekly or bi-weekly
 • Focused or spiritual transformation

Why d-group matters

Following Jesus was never meant to be done alone. D-Groups create space to slow down, open God's Word, ask honest questions, and walk closely with a few others who want to grow.

The goal isn't more knowledge - it's transformation. D-Groups are designed to multiply disciples who make disciples.

What's the difference?

Open group

Usually 10 - 20 people

Co-ed or gender-specific

Believers and non-believers

Focused on community

Designed to grow and multiply biblical community

 • Open group
 • Usually 10 - 20 people
 • Co-ed or gender-specific
 • Believers and non-believers
 • Focused on community
 • Designed to grow and multiply biblical community

Both are valuable. Life Groups build community.

D-Groups help deepen discipleship.

D-Groups aren't something you join - they're something you start.

What DOES

D-GROUP LOOK LIKE?

Each group may look a little different, but most D-Groups include these rhythms:

Reading Scripture
Sharing what God is teaching you
Memorizing Scripture
Honest accountability
Prayer

HOW DO I START?

1. PRAY

Ask God who He may be leading you to invite

2. INVITE

Look for a few people who are faithful, available, and teachable

3. BEGIN MEETING

Choose a regular time and meet weekly or every other week

4. STAY CONSISTENT

Read Scripture, memorize God's Word, pray together, and walk in accountability

Who SHOULD I INVITE?

Start with people you already know and trust-often from a Life Group, serving team, or existing friendships.

Look for people who are:

Faithful - committed and consistent

Available - willing to make time

Teachable - open to growth and correction

Discipleship isn't a program - it's a way of life.

Can i lead a d-group?

You do not need to have all the answers to lead a D-Group. The main requirement is a willingness to intentionally pursue Christ and invite other to follow Him with you. You're not leading a class-you're helping cultivate a small circle of trust, growth, and obedience.

If you can say, "Follow me as I follow Christ," you can lead.
