WHY WE GIVE

Tithing means bringing the first ten percent of our income back to God. It's an act of worship that demonstrates our trust in His word and acknowledges Him as our provider. Tithing also protects our hearts from greed by reminding us that everything we have ultimately belongs to Him.

From the very beginning, our goal was to grow to a place where we could dedicate 15% of each dollar to local and global missions beyond NewLife. And we do just that.
Over the past 20+ years, we’ve been blessed to give more than $1.5 million to support mission partners both locally and globally—and that number continues to grow.

How do I set up a recurring gift?

You can simply and easily set up a recurring gift in your Church Center app.

Set Up a Recurring Donation:

Donors can set up automatic recurring donations at a set frequency, and administrators can also set up or edit recurring donations on a donor’s behalf. A donor can set up a recurring donation when they give, or an administrator can set it up for a donor from a donor’s profile. Watch a short video on how to do this click here.

Editing a Recurring Donation:

Donors can edit the recurring donation from My Giving on Church Center, and administrators can also make changes for donors from the admin side.

A donor can update their recurring donations by logging into their donor profile on Church Center.

Add new recurring donations.
View the status of existing donations.
Edit a recurring donation’s payment method or frequency. Donors can also temporarily or permanently put recurring donations on hold or delete them altogether.
The donor can only update the recurring amount from the Church Center mobile app.
See notifications about issues with a recurring donation.

Recurring Donation Status:

Several statuses are available for recurring donations. Donors can adjust the status of their recurring donations from their donor profiles in Church Center, and administrators can adjust the status on behalf of donors from their donor profiles.

STATUS	DESCRIPTION
Active	This donation will continue to be processed regularly based on its set frequency.
On hold indefinitely	This donation will not be processed again unless its status is changed.
On hold until	This donation will not be processed until the set date.

If a donor profile is inactive, their recurring donations will remain active.

How do I change my banking information?

You can simply and easily set up or change your giving and banking preferences in your Church Center app.

When donating online, donors can enter their payment method information and save it to their profile.

If they’ve saved a payment method in the past, they can log in to manage their previous payment methods. Donors also complete ACH bank verification here.

How do I get a contribution statement of view my giving history?

Giving history can be viewed at any time in your secure profile on our Church Center app. Learn more about our church app and how to access your profile information.

Annual contribution statements are also emailed to you at the closing of each calendar. Typically you will recited yours by the end of January. You may request a hard copy to be mailed to you simply by reaching out to the church office at office@newlifedsm.com.

What is the deadline for annual contributions?

All donations must be received or postmarked by December 31 in order to be included on your contribution statement of that year. Any online gifts must be initiated by December 31.
